Ocular Alchemy
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify how a
drug is delivered, identify methods of delivery and barriers to
absorption of ocular medications. (STAFF CREDITS ONLY)


9:30 – 10:30 a.m. - Johanna Beebe, MD

Classifications of Intracranial Hypertension
This session will review the classifications and the symptoms typical
of Intracranial Hypertension, formerly known as pseudotumor cerebri.
We will discuss approaches to treatment based on the subtype of
disease and review potential side effects of these treatment options.


10:30 - 11:30 a.m. - M. Camille Almond, MD

Classification and Presentations of Uveitis
This session will review the standardization of uveitis nomenclature
classification and the symptoms typical of the uveitis subtypes. We will
discuss approaches to treatment based on the subtype of disease and
review potential side effects of these treatment options.

Acquired Macular Disease
This session reviews common macular pathologies, their presentation
and treatment options.


1:45 - 2:45 p.m. - Dongmei Chen, MD

“Do I Need to Wear Glasses After Cataract Surgery?”
(A patient perspective)
This course will present options for cataract surgery as a refractive
procedure, with the aim of optimizing visual outcomes and reducing
post-operative spectacle dependence in patients with moderate to high
astigmatic correction.


3:00 - 4:00 p.m. - Lee Woodward, MD

Pediatric Eye Disease in East Africa
Participants will appreciate the difference in pediatric eye disease
and their management in Third World Countries compared to our own.
