Take advantage of our unique summer professional learning opportunities to elevate global perspectives and learning of complex global issues throughout your school. Join a group of professional peers, bring back practical tools, and prepare your students for an interconnected world.

Reserve your spot by registering online and paying an initial deposit of $200. Invoices will be sent in late February, final payments will be due in April. If you have questions or need an alternate payment schedule, register online, select pay by check and send us an email to let us know how we can help.

BORDER STUDIES AND IMMIGRATION // El Paso, TX // June 17-21, 2019
Educators will dive into Mexico/US border issues and deepen their understanding of immigration in the US through facilitated curriculum design and planning with exposure to numerous and varied perspectives.
Audience: Social Studies, Spanish, Global Studies teachers
Cost: $1,500 member schools / $1675 non-members, includes accommodation and meals


GLOBAL CURRICULUM DESIGN SYMPOSIUM FOR GRADES K-5 // Oakland, CA // June 19-21, 2019
Teachers and curriculum leaders will explore research around global competency frameworks and elementary classrooms where techniques have been implemented. Participants will leave with new curricular units designed to further individual school goals.
Audience: Pre-K- 5th Grade Teachers and Curriculum Leaders, all disciplines welcome
Cost: $950 member schools, $1100 non-members, housing not included


GLOBAL LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM // New York, NY // July 8-10, 2019
Global education leaders will investigate models of program development and through facilitated design, work on a plan leveraging your institution's resources to build a high-quality and comprehensive global program.
Audience: Global Directors in years 1-5
Cost: $950 member schools, $1100 non-members, housing not included


RISK MANAGMENT LEADERSHIP // New York, NY // July 11-12, 2019
School leaders who oversee travel programs will learn fundamental management skills and model practices for today's risk landscape. Working with some of the top trainers in the field, participants will learn how to facilitate and train others, how to implement crisis response trainings on campus and come away with a wealth of resources ranging from liability forms, crisis plans, and sample policies on emerging topics.
Audience: Global Directors and any Administrative Leaders who oversee Risk Management
Cost: $980 member schools, $1200 non-members, housing not included


WELLNESS IN TRADITIONAL JAPAN // Japan, various locations // July 13-21, 2019
Participants will immerse themselves in the history, culture and practices of traditional Japan, around the body, mind and spirit, and how all three connect with the natural world and general human well-being. Participants will investigate and share models for wellness initiatives and new curriculum units for greater student impact.
Audience: Wellness, Mindfulness, Asian Studies/History/Literature teachers
Cost: $2800 member schools, $3080 non-members. All-ground costs included but not international flight, meet in Tokyo.
