DESCRIPTION:

It has been 15 years and $38.4 billion in federal investments working to make healthcare data digital and interoperable. During this time, stakeholders have seen growing innovation through EHRs, patient portals, analytics, social media, smartphone apps, and even wearables. So, where will healthcare innovation take us over the next few decades? Not terribly far if we don’t solve data interoperability. Many believe technology stands to create the cost inflection point sought to delivery high value, low cost healthcare. Yet, progress will be stymied if information cannot move between disparate systems to support patients, providers and payers.

Join us on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM CT, where our panel of southern subject matter experts will discuss the current state of interoperability and efforts underway to make data liquid. They will provide insights into federal mandates under the CMS interoperability rule, the ONC Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA), standards including HL7’s Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), the U.S. Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI), and draft use cases under the Da Vinci Project. This special session will include a town hall discussion where all are invited to participate. Explore what this means to you.
