Most of the hundreds of plants are propagated by Master Gardener volunteers, who work throughout the year nurturing and caring for them. The sale will include native and Florida-Friendly plants, succulents, orchids, and edibles. Plants that are easy to grow and that attract butterflies and other wildlife will be available. Master Gardener volunteers will be on hand to assist customers in plant selection. ***PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A $20.00 MINIMUM FOR CREDIT CARD PURCHASES.***

It is encouraged to RVSP for the guided tours of the Demonstration Gardens. There are tags to show which of these plants are available in our sale. This is a great way to see how the mature plant will look in your garden.

Attendants can also visit educational booths, talking to Master Gardeners on a variety of topics. Booth displays include:

* “Ask the Expert” - answers to your yard concerns

* Free pH Soil Testing (homeowners can bring a sample of soil to test),

* Composting with Worms

* Microirrigation

* Rain Barrels (For $25 you can take home your own rain barrel, but you may attend the workshop for free)

*“Rusty Gold”, which offers new and gently-used gardening tools, pottery, and fun garden-art for sale.

* Children's Activities include pollinators, worm farming and potting a plant.

* Florida-Friendly Landscaping

From beautiful plants to a day of fun and learning, GardenFest 2019 will be a “must-schedule” event for all gardeners!

**Master Gardeners are volunteers who work through the Polk County Extension Service, as a public outreach of the University of Florida Institute for Food and Agricultural Services (known as UF/IFAS). Their purpose is to educate the public, through volunteer services, about horticultural related topics.
