Event description

Description

Recent changes to the U.S. Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act provided the first major update to that law in more than 70 years. But even if you feel like your company has responded adequately to those changes, you still may have different responsibilities under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

CIRAS and Iowa State University's Agricultural and Natural Resources Extension (ANR) can help you make sense of it all.

This 1-hour FSMA Update event will provide a general summary of what the new law with the MOST RECENT 2019 UPDATES is requiring of human food and animal feed companies in Iowa. It will address current topics such as Preventive Controls, Food Safety Plans, Food Defense, FSMA audit information and available resources in the development of a Food Safety System, and help on where to seek out advice.

Come with your questions and be ready to dive into Food Safety FSMA style over lunch.

Early Bird registration ends February 28th! Registration will increase to $20 starting March 1st.
