Description

Happy New Year!

The days are dark and winter seems long, so we’ve been spending our efforts thinking and planning for the bounty of our local flower season. To get us over the winter doldrums, we are hosting a series of events January through March focused on practical information about how to grow your own cutting garden. We’ll talk plants, colors, and design trends, and share insider tips for how to make your cutting garden flourish.

We are so excited to announce our first event of this series!

January Event

2019 Slow Flowers Floral Forecast Exchange w/ special guest from Johnny's Seeds

**This is a FREE event!

Debra will kick off this event by sharing a summary of her 2019 Slow Flowers Floral Insights and Industry Forecast. Her presentation will touch on highlights in sustainable flower sourcing and progressive design. Debra has her finger on the pulse of the local flower movement and will give us some food for thought as we think about what our floral businesses will look like in 2019.

As a 30 year veteran of Johnny’s Seeds, Lainie will be here to provide her perspective of current cut flower seed trends and talk about new seed introductions from Johnny’s. There will be free seeds to get your garden started!

We also want to hear from you! What do you want to see at the market in 2019? What color palettes are your customers asking for? What flowers do you want to see more of? This event is an opportunity for our wholesale customers and co-op growers to work on our collective flower wish lists for the upcoming year.

More information on other upcoming events soon to come!
