Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. -- Nebraska Innovation Campus

Please join us for OpenSky’s 2019 Fall Policy Symposium on Thursday, September 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Nebraska Innovation Campus at 2021 Transformation Drive in Lincoln. Registration is $30 and includes lunch but is free for OpenSky donors, elected officials, legislative staff and members of the media.

8:30 a.m. – Welcome and introductions with OpenSky Executive Director Renee Fry

9:15 a.m. – “Nebraska's Increasing Urbanization”

  • Dr. Josie Gatti Schafer, director and senior research associate at the University of Nebraska Omaha’s Center for Public Affairs Research

10 a.m. – Break

10:15 a.m. – Panel discussion "What Nebraska’s Changing Demographics Mean on the Ground"

  • Andrew Ambriz, executive director of the Custer County Economic Development Corporation
  • Sen. Curt Friesen, farmer and member of the Revenue Committee
  • Dr. Tawana Grover, superintendent of Grand Island Public Schools
  • Stephen Osberg, director of transportation development for the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce
  • Dr. Eleanor Rogan, professor and chair of the Department of Environmental, Agricultural and Occupational Health at the UNMC College of Public Health

Where can I park?

Plenty of free parking is available in a lot (Lot A) just north of the Conference Center. If you choose to park on the street outside of innovation campus, please be aware that that is metered parking that must be paid for using a special application on your cellular phone. Is my registration refundable or transferrable?

Your registration is non-refundable, but it is transferable. Contact OpenSky Operations Manager Toni Roberts at troberts@openskypolicy.org or 402-438-0382 if you would like to transfer your registration to another person or if you have other questions about your registration.

Do I have to bring a printed ticket to the event?

No, just check in at the registration desk when you arrive at the symposium.
