Event description

Description

Each summer, the Micha-el Institute holds an intensive conference on Early Childhood Education. These conferences are ideal for early childhood teachers, as well as grade school class and remedial teachers, to expand and deepen their insights, understandings, and consciousness in these areas.

Our Early Childhood Conference themes are offered in a cyclic fourfold progressive system. This years’ theme will be “Imagination through Storytelling & Puppetry.” Last years' theme was “Rhythm," and “Health” and “Polarities” will come in the following years.

"The more rhythmically the life of a little child can flow in these matters (*), the healthier it is. But a child, whose soul life is so closely bound up with his organic life, demands that the nourishment of his soul shall also be given rhythmically, that his play and learning be ordered according to the day's rhythm. It would be of enormous importance if educators would realize this and act upon it."
