Description

The John D. Dingell VA Medical Center cordially invites you to participate in the 2019 Mental Health Summit for our community partners and Veterans. The VA recognizes that truly Veteran-centered, recovery-oriented care requires active and ongoing cooperation with our community partners.

This event will provide education, resources, and networking opportunities for those in attendance. Our keynote speaker will be Bob VandePol, Executive Director of Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services' Employee Assistance and Church Assistance Programs, speaking on the topic of "Who Bounces Back: Characteristics of Resilient People and Systems." Topics covered throughout the day's events include:

At Risk Populations: Substance Use Disorder

LGBTQ Mental Health

Homeless Veterans

Well-being of Female Veterans

Seniors and Suicide

Minority Veteran Panel

**This event is free to the public. Registration is required, seating is limited. Light refreshments and lunch provided. Four free CEUs will be offered for social workers, psychologists, nurses, and rehabilitation counselors**
