Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society, Utah Chapter is excited to announce its regional genealogical conference focused on African American research. This conference will reach the seven-state region of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming.

Friday, September 27, 2019 - Commemoration of the 400th year of the landing in Virginia of the first indentured people of African descent. This event marks the beginning of the enslavement of the African in America. There will be a short address, music, and poetry.

Saturday, September 28, 2019 - Conference activities will include speakers, lectures, genealogy fundamentals and advanced skills instruction in African American genealogy research. Lunch and afternoon entertainment scheduled.

– At-Door $65 – (Cash or electronic, no checks) AAHGS Members $45

There is a special $20 discount on membership in AAHGS at the combined local and national levels. This can be done at the time of registration or during the conference.
