The Flatirons Food Film Festival and Erie Coffee Roasters Present:

2019 Coffee Fest

Join us for a weekend festival about all things coffee in Lafayette and Erie, Colorado

 

Saturday, April 13th, 1-4pm at Arts HUB (420 Courtney Way, Lafayette, CO):

Watch coffee films and then learn more about coffee!

--CAFFEINATED, a feature film about coffee from seed to mug (CAFFEINATED trailer here)
--Film introduction by Tamas Christman, founder and CEO of Dragonfly Roasters, named 2019 Top Micro Roaster by Roast magazine
-- Presentations and tastings by experts on coffee topics, such as:

-- History
-- Agriculture
-- Coffee supply chain
-- Brewing techniques with tastings (French press, AeroPress, Pour-over, Drip)
-- Cascara tasting (coffee cherry tea made from the dried skins of the coffee fruit)

-- Sustainable waste diversion practices

--Coffee painting for kids
--Coffee painting exhibition by visiting artist Craig Peterson
--Unlimited caffeinated and decaf coffee to slake your thirst with bites from Lafayette's Eat at Community and Tip Top Savory Pies

Sunday, April 14th, 10am-1pm at Erie Coffee Roasters (3000 Airport Drive in Hangar #307, Erie)

Come wake up to a morning full of coffee aromas and devoted to coffee fun!

Three rounds of the activities will take place, each starting shortly after the top of the hour.

Stop in for a single round or stay longer for more in-depth, detailed discussions of the roasting process, sourcing, coffee brewing, and espresso drink techniques. Also, catch live music by local band band 6XE.

--Barista lessons by professionals from East Simpson Coffee Company, Erie Coffee Roasters, Fox.Dog Coffee, and Precision Pours-Coffee and Bakes on:
----Pulling single origin espresso shots
----Latte art
----Espresso blends and technical expertise
--Interactive demos on:
----Processing techniques
----Brewing techniques, including cold brew
----Roasting techniques
--Facilities tour with information about what happens after roasting
--Mini burritos from the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts

Flatirons Food Film Festival

Feast on reel food at Colorado's only food-related film festival, October 10-13, 2019.

The Flatirons Food Film Festival is an annual multi-day feast in Boulder that celebrates exceptional culinary cinema. In 2019, it will take place at the Boulder Public Library and Muenzinger Auditorium on the CU-Boulder campus in conjunction with the International Film Series.
