Description

Welcome to the 2019

Oregon Citizens’ Climate Lobby Conference!

Saturday, April 6, 2019

Our conference gives newcomers and seasoned CCL members the opportunity to connect, learn, practice skills, and strategize to move our country toward climate solutions.

Join the conference and be energized and empowered to act for climate solutions!

New to CCL? Meet the group that persuaded Republicans and Democrats in Congress to work together to introduce a bipartisan climate change bill. Who are we? Everyday citizens just like you!

Already a CCL member? Learn how you can help get the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act passed in Congress!

CCL builds political will for action on climate change. We believe that climate change is a bridge for elected Democrats and Republicans to come together and enact solutions. CCL advocacy was key in the introduction of the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act, the first bipartisan climate bill in a decade.

For conference questions contact Elianne Lieberman elianne97202@yahoo.com.

Who: Everyone is welcome, from those new to CCL to experienced volunteers. This conference is open to anyone, but targeted for Oregonians and Southwest Washingtonians, from our chapters on the coast in Newport and Astoria, to those over the Cascades in Bend, as well as those along the I-5 corridor from Ashland to Portland.

Additional Information

Conference registration costs include coffee, tea and light snacks during the afternoon programming, 1-6pm. Lunch is on your own. Bring a sack lunch or go a local eatery. Off-site brunch and dinner costs are not included.

While all are welcome to attend either the Climate Advocacy Training (CAT) or the Networking and Discussion Brunch, each has been designed with a particular audience in mind. The CAT is intended for those who are new or newer to CCL or who have not yet taken or attended a CAT workshop on the past (online or in person). This CAT will provided a valuable foundation for the conference content, including the history of CCL, values, and our effective methodology. The Networking and Discussion Brunch is a great way to not only get to know and see others CCLers from all around the state, but similarly a way for us to dive into some challenges that we experience as seasoned CCLers who may serve in leadership roles or simply want to up their advocacy game.

You may want to bring your laptop or tablet. They could be helpful to practice some of the skills you learn at the conference.
