Description

This presentation will provide an update on the science, research, policy and practice implications of cannabidiol (CBD). Participants will learn about the various types of cannabinoids and the distinction between THC and CBD. CBD specific information will be provided including: CBD derived from hemp vs. CBD derived from marijuana; current status of FDA regulation of CBD; and research-based risks and benefits of CBD.

Trainer: Gregory Bunt, MD, Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, NYU Medical School; Medical Dir. Samaritan Village; Past President of the NY Society of Addiction Medicine & of the International Society of Addiction Medicine.
