What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

NOTE: CMCC is taking place on Butte College’s MAIN campus, NOT the Chico Center. The main campus is located between Chico and Oroville, about 12 miles from both cities. Butte College is a 928-acre Wildlife Refuge. If you see cows, mesas, and empty fields, you are heading in the right direction!

From the North/Chico (CA-99) – Take CA-99 south from Chico, about 7 miles. Take exit 376/Durham-Pence Rd and turn left. Drive about 3.5 miles to Butte College’s main gate (the first stop light) and turn left onto Butte Campus Drive. See PARKING, below.

From the South/Gridley (CA-99) – Take CA-99 north toward Chico. Just after you pass the CA-99/CA-149 interchange, take exit 376 and turn right. Drive about 3.5 miles to Butte College’s main gate (the first stop light) and turn left onto Butte Campus Drive. See PARKING, below.

From the South/Oroville (CA-70) — Take CA-70 north from Oroville and beyond the CA-149 turnoff. Turn left onto CA-191/Clark Rd and drive 4.8 miles to to Butte College’s entrance. Turn left onto Butte Campus Drive. See PARKING, below, BUT turn left instead of right into the parking lots. Lot D (Parking Option 3) will be the first lot you encounter.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Butte College has ample free parking. The campus is hilly and you may have to walk about a quarter mile.

PARKING OPTION 1: Enter Main Gate from Durham-Pence Rd, follow Butte Campus Drive past the football field and turn right into the first parking lot (1A-1C). Limited parking is available in the Staff Lot on the road to right of the Gym (staff permits are not enforced on the weekend).

PARKING OPTION 2: If Option 1 is full, park close to the Arts building in Lot 1, walk around the Arts building and across the quad toward the Library. The LRC is behind the Library.

PARKING OPTION 3: Lot D, also off Butte Campus Drive is slightly closer to the LRC. Depending on which lane you park in, you will probably walk around the Physical Science and Technology buildings, then past the Life Science building to the LRC (see MAP).

The Learning Resource Center main entrance is directly behind the Library. See MAP for directions from the parking lot to the LRC-CAS building or look for signs and volunteers.

Where do I check in?

Check in at the Learning Resource Center – Center for Academic Success (LRC-CAS). Use the main entrance located on the north side of the building (near the Library and adjacent to the Life Sciences building — see MAP).
