Thinking with the end in mind: reimbursement, pricing and business models

Early stage companies (and investors) focus almost to their detriment on getting to scientific and business inflection points , without a clear understanding on whether or not they will get reimbursed on their products. Reimbursement informs the business model and is a major driver in understanding business valuation.

When it comes to building value for early stage companies, understanding your business model is key. How you make money, how much your product will cost, and how you will price your therapy or diagnostic goes to understanding the value of your company, and the value of your product (s).

A cornerstone to developing your business plan, will be to have a reimbursement plan that anticipates opportunities and obstacles and strategies to manage possible pitfalls. "Approaching reimbursement proactively can have a positive impact both during the early stages of product development and well after product launch. Many companies analyze reimbursement as part of the early business-planning process to identify economically attractive indications and market opportunities."

Join us for what promises to be a very interesting and informative discussion on building your company by thinking with the end in mind.
