Description

Although we have all ridden bikes since we were kids preparing for a triathlon may seem more involved. Bike 101 will help take the some of the mystery out of the bike portion of the race, and help you know what is important what is not. The session is intended for new and veteran triathletes who what to be prepared and have a good race. It compliments our earlier Triathlon 101 sessions.

This program, headed by triathlete Lucas Pozzetta and Goodales staff, will cover set-up, accessories, fit, clothing, maintenance, bike terms, training, and repairs. You also will how learn to change a flat tire.

All attendees will receive 10% off in stock parts and accessories the evening of the workshop.

  • Understanding Bike technologies and terminologies (we will help weed though bike terms and technologies and what they mean to you)
  • Accessories for a triathlon (lot of stuff out there, what do you need, what don't you need)
  • Clothing for a triathlon (what to wear, what not to wear)
  • Getting a bike ready for a triathlon (some tips on how to prepare)
  • Bike training for a triathlon (some training ideas and tips, local training rides)
  • Bike maintenance (what to take care of, what to do if you have trouble)
  • Bike fitting (what are the fit elements, what's important)
  • How to buy a new bike (if you need a new one this will help)
