Join us for the 2019 Arizona Division of Problem Gambling Symposium - “Bridging the Gap from Awareness to Recovery” March 4, 2019 in Phoenix.

Symposium will feature Dr. Daniel A. Kaufmann Ph.D., LMHC, BACC and Jeffrey P. Wasserman, JD, MPA:

Dr. Kaufmann is a full-time faculty and current Content Development Lead for graduate programs in Mental Health Counseling and Counselor Education & Supervision at Grand Canyon University. Prior to assuming this position, Dr. Kaufmann served as the Clinical Director for the Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling, and has an established private practice through which he has focused on treating a wide range of clinical issues with a focus on the process addictions of problem gambling as well as video game disorders. He is a Board Approved Clinical Consultant through the IGCCB, and is currently involved in the gambling-specific training process for clinicians across the country.

Jeff Wasserman was a practicing attorney for nearly 33 years. In August 2015, the Supreme Court of Delaware placed him on disability inactive status because of his gambling addiction. He is currently the Judicial Outreach and Development Director of the Delaware Council on Gambling Problems directing efforts to raise awareness of gambling addiction among judges, lawyers and others in the criminal justice system. He is also an active volunteer at the Delaware Lawyers Assistance Program (DE-LAP) where he leads a support group for suspended and disbarred attorneys. Jeff has raised awareness of gambling disorder and shared his personal story of addiction and recovery with lawyers, judges, law students and others at CLE programs, conferences, seminars and law school classes.
