Join the Purdue Alumni Club of Tippecanoe County as we welcome Dr. Tom Turpin as he shares his thoughts on "The Bug and I: Things learned as a Purdue Entomologist."

Guests will enjoy a hot buffet dinner and cash bar as well as hear Dr. Turpin share his insightful thoughts and unique perspectives from his 45-year academic career at Purdue.

Program Agenda:

5:15 p.m. Social time with appetizers

6:15 p.m. Welcome and begin buffet dinner

7:00 p.m. Program begins with Board Elections to follow

About our guest:

Tom Turpin is Professor Emeritus of Entomology at Purdue University. He is a Kansas native and holds a Ph.D. from Iowa State University. Turpin served as President of the Entomological Society of America. He has received a number of teaching awards and is the founder of Purdue's Bug Bowl. For 26 years he wrote a bi-weekly newsletter column called "On 6 Legs" and produced a podcast of the column for 10 years. He is the author of an entomology textbook and two popular books on insects.
