Free Mini-Conference for Mental Health Practitioners in Lubbock and the Surrounding Areas

About this Event

Professor aretha marbley, the 2018 Doctoral Cohort (as part of the Advanced Diversity and Social Justice Course), Professor Gerald Parr, and the Counselor Education Program in the College of Education at Texas Tech University is hosting a Free Mini-Conference for all mental health practitioners and community activists and partners in Lubbock and the surrounding areas.

CEUs will be available for LPCs.

Registration:

  • Registration ends on Thursday, April 18th at 5:00 PM.
  • Check-in begins on the day of the conference at 7:30 AM.

Speakers:

  • Presenters will have a minimum of a master's level education with a license to practice in a mental health specialty.
  • Keynote Speakers: Connie Wharton and Dr. Whitney Wharton --"The Intersection of Science, Business, and Social Justice"

Food:

  • Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided free of charge (dietary restrictions will be gathered on registration page).

Parking:

  • Free parking for the conference will available on the 4th floor of the Flint Ave. parking garage. 1838-1842 Flint Ave, Lubbock, TX 79410
  • Handicap parking is to the east (in front of the Burkhart Center) and west of the Education Building as available.
