Description

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) was launched on June 15, 2006 by the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and the World Health Organization at the United Nations to provide an opportunity for communities around the world to promote a better understanding of abuse and neglect of older persons. West Virginia will host a statewide Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WVEAAD) Seminar on June 07, 2018 to raise awareness and to provide resources to combat elder abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation in our state.

Registration begins at 7:30am with opening remarks at 8:30am at the University of Charleston's Ballroom located on the 3rd floor of the Geary Student Union Building.
