Please join us for an extraordinary multi-course wine and food pairing dinner in the exclusive private dining room at acclaimed Chef Walter Bundy's phenomenal restaurant, Shagbark, which was named by USA Today as one of 20 new restaurants to try in 2016. Doors open with a welcome reception at 6. Dinner begins at 6:30. It is all-inclusive: food and wine pairings are included - no extra charges. Parking is available for free. Walk from the parking lot through the breezeway to Shagbark. All-inclusive. Prepare to enjoy this utterly delicious event, expanded in 2018, featuring noodles, dumplings and complementary dishes representing cuisines from around the world, wine (including Sparkling) from Virginia, New Zealand, Australia and Oregon, artisan (Virginia) cider, select craft beers, and music. A Noodle & Dumpling Affair will introduce you to the amazingly authentic and creative flavor profiles found in Asian and other cuisines that feature noodles and dumplings. Enjoy the wide array of luscious craft beverages chosen to complement the cuisine and chill out with your friends while enjoying some cool tunes. Richmond's best Asian restaurants and chefs will be represented at this event, including, but not limited to, world-class Master Chef Peter Chang of Peter Chang (restaurant), Chef Taz, Chef Ivan, Piknik, Anokha, Sen Organic Small Plate, La Grotta, Empanadas Market and more. Doors open at 6, when you may begin sampling the beverages. Noodles and dumplings will be served around 6:30. This is primarily a walk-around grazing event. There will be some seating available. Vegetarians will have plenty of choices. The various noodle and dumpling dishes will range from mild to very spicy. Signage will indicate spice level.

Chef Reitzer is one of Richmond's most esteemed chefs, who has carved out his niche by turning out inventive and fresh regional American cuisine in a fine dining establishment with a casual, New York-ish vibe. Focused primarily on seafood and local, top-quality products with "clean" flavor profiles, this multi-course dinner paired with Virginia's most iconic wines will be the ultimate palate-pleasing experience. If you want to attend the dinner and have special dietary restrictions or preferences, such as vegetarian, gluten-free or particular allergies, please e-mail Alex Papajohn at apapajohn@VariantEvents.com. You'll smell and taste the different flavor profiles of this perfumed grape and understand why its regarded as the favorite varietal of so many wine enthusiasts and collectors. The curated assortment of bites you'll enjoy highlights many talented chefs and diverse ethnic cuisines. NEW for 2018 - This is an extraordinary new grazing event, where you may go station to station enjoying the food along with a selection of premium wine. There will be sit-down and cocktail tables for your convenience. Please note that this is primarily a food event and that there will be a limited number of wines and sparkling available (about 15). This event is not a substitute for the Walk-Around Grand Tastings, where you can taste hundreds of Virginia, Oregon, Australian and New Zealand wines and Virginia spirits. NOTE - This event has been timed so that you may enjoy it during the VIP Walk-Around Grand Tasting Locals Sunday Special. This event is just downstairs from the Walk-Around Grand Tastings so you may walk back and forth very easily.
