Event description

Description

Mosaic is a support program for degree-seeking UTC students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

On March 28th, Mosaic will be hosting its 3rd annual Reverse Career Fair.

There are many stigmas surrounding Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) that all too often lead to competent, capable people missing out on employment opportunities. Likewise, many companies and organizations miss out on the many strengths that people with ASD bring to the table.

The Reverse Career Fair will provide our Mosaic students with the opportunity to showcase their strengths to local businesses and organizations for potential internship or employment opportunities. It will also provide companies/organizations with the opportunity to recruit high quality candidates. Think of this as a typical career fair, but the opportunity to explore and visit the tables is afforded to the potential employers, and the students present their strengths and benefits to the people that visit their tables. This structure not only creates a more manageable career fair experience for students with ASD, but also allows employers to visit the specific tables of the students from the majors of interest.

Professional visitors to the Reverse Career Fair will receive a map with a description of each participant prior to the event. You will also have access to the professional staff of the Mosaic program to answer any questions you may have.
