Description

The Bay Area’s biggest Taiwanese American celebration returns to Union Square on May 12th!

Enjoy mouth-watering Taiwanese delicacies, rock out to live performances by world-renowned Taiwanese American performers, and learn more about Taiwanese history and Taiwanese Americans in the Bay Area. Plus, check out exhibits that showcase Taiwanese culture, arts and the latest in Taiwanese technology.

Started in 1993, the Taiwanese American Cultural Festival has grown into an annual landmark event for the Bay Area community, drawing thousands of visitors from all over the world to experience Taiwan’s unique cultural heritage and to recognize the contributions of Taiwanese Americans today.

More than 13,000 visitors attended the festival in 2017. We were honored to have distinguished guests, including Jackie Speier, US Congresswoman; David Chiu, President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors; and Gavin Newsom, former Mayor of San Francisco and current California State Lieutenant Governor.

Each year for the past 25 years, the Taiwanese American Cultural Festival has attracted thousands of attendees, brought in local and international Taiwanese celebrities and received accolades from prominent government officials.

Volunteer booth will be up and running 7:00am on Saturday morning for volunteer check in. If you are under age of 18, we require signature of your parent/guardian in order to have you participate as volunteer. We won’t be able to have you as volunteer without signed liability form.
