Description

The Office of Literacy along with the Exceptional Student Services Unit at CDE will be hosting our fourth annual READing Conference on Thursday and Friday, September 27th and 28th, 2018.

  • The focus of the conference will be on direct and explicit instruction for all students. Conference speakers include: Anita Archer, William Van Cleave, Elsa Cardenas-Hagan, Lucy Hart Paulson and Linda Farrell.

  • This conference is designed to support the implementation of evidence based reading instruction.

  • The target audience is K-3 educators including general education teachers, special education specialists, reading coaches, reading interventionists, English Language Development specialists, principals and school leadership teams.

  • The focus of the conference will be on direct and explicit instruction for all students including: English Learners, emerging readers and struggling readers.

  • There is no cost to attend and lunch will be provided both days.

****PLEASE READ****

The priority for this conference will be K-3 educators and leaders from schools and districts. If you are not school based (vendors, private practitioners, etc.) your registration is not guaranteed until the September 17, 2018 when we have been able to accommodate any teachers that end up on a waiting list.

If you do not receive an email cancelling your ticket by September 18, 2018 then your seat is guaranteed and we will see you at the conference.
