Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc. invites you to the 2018 National Leadership Conference hosted by the Lambda Chapter at California State University, Monterey Bay on Saturday, July 21st, 2018.

This year we continue to celebrate 30 years of Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc. We recognize our strong foundation with a multitude of achievements, but we recognize that the road does not end here. We must continue to prepare ourselves for the future. We will focus this year’s conference at building upon our strong foundations to reach new heights.

The national leadership conference will also provide an update on some key topics for the organization. Brothers are encouraged to engage in open discussions throughout the event. Given that this is a free event, no breakfast or lunch will be provided, but various options are available on campus. Please make sure you receive a confirmation email after you register.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There will be no transportation organized. Please see below for directions. For parking please use the Parking Lot 29, which is located at the south end of campus. Parking for an all-day price of $4 for the whole day. Parking permits are required at all times. Vehicle charging stations are available by the student center in Parking Lot 12.

What building is the event taking place at?
The event will be taking place at the UC Ballroom located at 4314 6th Ave, Seaside, CA 93955.

What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please bring paper & pen, or a laptop for notetaking. Laptop use is recommended but not required.

What is the attire?
Business professional attire.

Is there a required attendance for the chapters?
Yes, there is a 90% chapter membership requirement based on those officers and committee chairs that are required to attend. Those are as follows: chapter presidents, vice-presidents, treasurer & finance/funraising chairs, secretaries, deans & recruitement/rush chairs, academic chairs, alumni chairs, community service chairs, and marketing & PR chairs.

Will there be a fee to the chapters for not meeting the 90% requirement?
Yes, there will be a fee assessed to the chapter, not the brothers, if the 90% requirement is not met. The fee is $65 per member count that doesn't meet the requirement. For example, if a chapter needs 9 brothers to attend in order to meet the 90% requirement and only 7 register, then the chapter will be charged $130.

Can we sell/distribute merchandise during the conference?
No. The focus is for chapter chairs engage in their roles. However, we may have outside vendors sell merchandise.
