The Michigan State Youth Soccer Association is pleased to announce that an Administrator’s Workshop has been scheduled for Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Detroit Marriott (Livonia). The MSYSA Administrator’s Workshop is FREE for all MSYSA members and is designed to provide relevant information to members in either an instructional or roundtable environment. The MSYSA Administrator’s workshop will take place on Saturday, November 10, 2018 and hosted at the Detroit Marriott (Livonia) (1710 Laurel Park Drive North, Livonia, Michigan 48152). NEW THIS YEAR! This year, the MSYSA Administrator’s Workshop will be presented in a ‘lecture hall’ format. This format will allow each attendee to receive the information from all feature presenters during the Workshop rather than having multiple ‘break-outs’ throughout the day. Additionally, MSYSA has secured highly qualified professionals in their related fields to attend and present on various topics including: Cole Newton and Duran, Pullen Insurance, Sports Forms, Dick’s Sporting Goods and more! Finally, MSYSA will be streaming live each of the presentations via the MSYSA Facebook page so that education can be made available following the workshop.

SPECIAL PRESENTER! Cole, Newton & Duran: W2s, 1099s and Financial Best Practices. Cole, Newton and Duran, headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, employ over 45 employees and have 17 CPAs within their company. Cole, Newton & Duran will discuss the importance of W9s and 1099s for businesses as well as provide guidance on general financial best practices and answer any questions you may have. SPECIAL PRESENTER! Referee Recruitment & Retention: Erich Shrewsberry, a Michigan Referee Committee certified assignor, has been involved in the game of soccer for many years. Most recently, Erich support the referee assigning of a host of a MSYSA sanctioned tournaments, MSYSA State Cups, MSYSA Jr. State Cup, Director’s Academy Program and more! Erich will discuss how he has been able to cultivate the recruitment and retention of officials to facilitate the officiating needs of many tournaments and programs within Michigan.

MSYSA STAFF! League Registration, International Clearance & more! Michigan State Youth Soccer Association staff will present information relating to league registration with MSYSA that outlines various procedural changes or software updates with GotSoccer. Additionally, an overview will be presented to the new criteria for international clearances as it pertains to players associated with clubs that have professional club affiliations.
