Description

The University of Houston’s College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) is pleased to announce that noted scholar, author, and law professor Sheryll D. Cashin will deliver the 2018 John P. McGovern Endowed Lecture in Family, Health and Human Values. An expert on race, class, and activism, Cashin will shed light on a modern-day racial caste system in an address titled “The Descendants: From Slavery to Jim Crow to Dark Ghettos, A Call for 21st Century Abolition.” The lecture will take place Thursday, October 25 at the UH Student Center Theater.
