Dear Colleague:

 

The Baltimore Chapter is proud to announce its continuing efforts to keep you abreast of all that is internal auditing.  So, for 2018, we invite you to join us at the 2018 Mid-Atlantic District Conference – “Keeping Your Edge.” 

 

This Conference represents the premier training event of our 2018-2019 Chapter Year.  You will have the chance to listen and benefit from:

 

  • A keynote address from Raven Catlin, President of Raven Global Training, on Seven Predictions for the Future of Internal Auditing.

 

  • Informative and motivational general session speakers including Gerry Sandusky, Sports Broadcaster and Author; Chris Pohl, VP and General Auditor, OneAmerica Financial Partners; Lena Cisco, former DOD Interrogator; and Kevin Snyder, Motivational Speaker and Author.

 

  • Eighteen (18) concurrent sessions covering topics ranging from What to Know About Blockchain to How to Create Precise Audit Testing; all led by subject matter experts.

 

  • Sixteen (16) Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit hours at an affordable price from a NASBA certified Chapter.

 

  • A free networking reception on Monday evening and other networking opportunities throughout the Conference.

Payment Information

 

Registration fees include continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks, lunch on Monday and Tuesday, and the Monday evening reception.  Admittance to the facility is contingent upon full payment of registration fees prior to the event.  Payment for any IIA Baltimore Chapter event is required at the time of the event.  If payment has not been made by the start of the Conference, The IIA Baltimore Chapter reserves the right to deny entrance.  Payments may be made via credit card through the regular Chapter registration website at www.eventbrite.com or through the Chapter website at http://baltimoreiia.org/.  Payment may also be made via check (participants can still register and use the Pay at the Door Feature on EventBrite) made payable to IIA Baltimore Chapter and mailed to:

Schedule Changes

 

At times, it may be necessary to cancel, reschedule, or substitute an event, conference session, speaker, and/or topic after registration has been confirmed. The IIA Baltimore Chapter will provide advance notification, where possible, of any changes once notice has been received and in doing so will not be responsible for penalties related to the canceling or rescheduling of registration fees, airfare, lodging, etc.

 

 

 

Refund Policy

 

In the event that you can’t make the Conference once you’ve registered, we will issue full refunds for any request made on or before September 1, 2018.  From September 2 through September 16, we will refund 50% of the registration fee paid.  After September 16, no refunds will be granted.  Substitutions of attendees can be made at no extra charge.  All requests for refunds or substitutions can be made to Ed Shulder at eshulder@howardcountymd.gov. If the IIA Baltimore Chapter must cancel the event for any unforeseen reason, full refunds of registration fees will be made to all registrants.

CPE Credits Available

 

Attendance at this Conference will make you eligible for up to 16 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours depending on the number of sessions you attend.  The IIA Baltimore Chapter provides CPE in accordance with the policies established by the Maryland State Board of Public Accountancy.  The Chapter is registered with the National Association of State Boards of accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education.

 

 

The Chapter certifies that the program is in accordance with the policies established by the Maryland State Board of Public Accountancy and relates to the Auditing, Personal Development, and Specialized Knowledge fields of study.  Records of the training session are retained by the Chapter in accordance with its Records Retention Policy.  CPE certificates will be distributed at the completion of the Conference.  It is imperative that you sign in for both days to receive full CPE credit and provide an accurate e-mail address when you register.
