The 2018 Housing4Hoosiers Landlord Education Series is designed to boost your knowledge about your rights and responsibilities when leasing and managing residential rental properties in Indiana.

Attendees should plan to attend both workshops in the series. This event is free and open to the public but advance registration is required. Space is limited. Sign up today!

Please note: There are two different workshops being offered in this series. You may register for both or select one. Participants will receive a certificate of completion.

From applications & tenant screening to move-in & move-out! Perfect for those new to rental property management/ownership as well as a refresher for experienced professionals.

Fair Housing Rental Basics Training with Amy Nelson of the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana

Topics to be addressed include: Overview of fair housing laws (rental focus), Major fair housing regulations and guidance, Advertising requirements, and Disability specific regulations.

1. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Public transit: Most city buses go by the library on Kirkwood. Check Bloomington Transit for route information.

Parking:

  1. The library parking lot provides free, 2-hour parking for library patrons.

  2. E. 6th Street and Lincoln Street (across from the Monroe County Public Library): First three hours free - in the metered non-reserved spaces only Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. Reserved spaces are for permit holders only.
