Description

Each year, the Roberto Hernandez Center and the UWM community recognize an individual de nuestra comunidad Latina here in Milwaukee that has distinguished themselves in service to others in the community.

Please join us in honoring the accomplishments & contributions of César Pabón Perez, who served with the famed 65th Infantry Regiment, the Borinqueneers, the only Hispanic-segregated unit of the U.S. Army. César attended college and became a special education teacher. He later went on help the Latino community in Milwaukee by playing a major part in the development the United Community Center. He worked there for 35 years before retiring. He now volunteers at UCC, where the fitness center is named after him.
