Event description

The Great 100 of North Carolina is a non-profit organization that annually recognizes 100 Registered Nurses from all areas of nursing practice for their contributions to patient care and the nursing profession. The Great 100 also awards scholarships annually to deserving students in nursing education, from Associate to Master’s Degree programs.

Each year, the Great 100 Award and Scholarship recipients are recognized at a black-tie Gala. This year, the Gala will be held on Saturday, October 20th at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, NC. This year is particularly special, as we will be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Great 100 of North Carolina. There will be opportunities to support the Great 100 through Alumni Sales, silent auctions, and donations. Dinner, the award ceremony and dancing will complete this special evening. Please come support our Great 100 nurses!

Please read these FAQs, as they will provide you with additional details about the Gala and enhance your experience.

How do I register for the Gala?

Select the correct category by scrolling through the options. There are two (2) categories of Recipients:

2) Scholarship Recipient: these are students of various nursing programs who are receiving scholarships from the Great 100.

Each of the above categories should register for themselves and one FREE guest per recipient. All other guests of the recipients should register as Guest.

PROMO Tickets: Organizations that have made donations to the Great 100 to support scholarships have been given PROMO codes for a limited number of complimentary tickets. The codes and instructions for use are provided by Tracy Gosselin, the Fundraising Chairperson.

Registration for the Gala is ONLY through the Eventbrite website. We do not sell tickets at the door.

Registration CLOSES on October 14 at 12:01 AM in order to assign seating and provide final meal numbers to the venue. This is a plated meal event and we do not order extra meals.

Do I need my printed ticket to check into the Gala?

The Eventbrite system sends your ticket(s) to your email address when registration is completed. You do not need to bring any paper tickets to the Gala. We will have the Master list of registrants and will check-in guests electronically.

What time does the Gala begin?

The Gala begins at 4:30 PM with a social, Alumni Sales and Silent Auction. Please come see friends and colleagues, enjoy a beverage from the cash bar and peruse the Silent Auction and Great 100 merchandise. A professional photographer will be at the Gala for formal photographs of attendees. Dinner is served at 6:30 PM in the Salem Ballroom, 2nd Level. Following the guest speaker and award/scholarship presentations, join us on the dance floor to celebrate our 2018 Great 100!

Where is the parking?

There is a Winston-Salem parking deck that connects the Convention Center, Embassy Suites Hotel and Marriott Hotel. Parking is free for guests of either hotel and $2 for all others.

How do I check into the Gala?

Attendee check-in will begin at 4:30 PM

Great 100 Alumni: If you have received a Great 100 Award in the past, you may register at any registration table or at the entrance to the Alumni Reception on the Lower Level of the convention center.

All attendees: Registration tables by alphabetic order will be located on the Upper Level of the convention center, between the escalators. Upon check-in, Great 100 Award and Scholarship Recipients will receive a small packet with their ribbons and presentation line-up numbers. All attendees will be directed to posted signs for location of their table number seating.
