Description

Operation: Holiday House Tour

Your presence is requested for a top secret mission taking place December 8 & 9 in the Fan District of Richmond. Our sources indicate eleven fabulous homes will be on the tour, including the home used in the filming of Showtime Original Series, Homeland.

In its 56th year, the Holiday House Tour is the Fan District Association’s annual fundraising event with the proceeds benefiting the neighborhood through community grants. Every year, the Fan District Association awards more than $20,000 to local organizations that are making a difference in the lives of our residents.

The tour is walk-friendly, but two trolleys will be circling the Fan from noon – 5 p.m. each day for those who wish to ride. The trolleys stop near all the homes and Hospitality Centers. Retreat Doctors’ Hospital on Grove Avenue, The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design, Greenfield Residences at Monument Avenue, Strawberry Fields (Sat only), and the Fan District Association office at 208 Strawberry Street will serve as Hospitality Centers and Ticket locations on tour days.

Please NOTE: Please present your Eventbrite confirmation when picking up your ticket booklet at any of the Hospitality Centers above.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, will be joining us for another amazing tour and helping the FDA fund important neighborhood work. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 day of the tour.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a printed confirmation to pick up my ticket?

  • While your email or phone confirmation is most helpful, we will also have a record of all purchase transactions at each Hospitality Center just in case, where you will pick up your ticket booklet the day of the tour.

Is my ticket good for both days or just one?

  • You may begin and end your tour any time during Saturday or Sunday or BOTH! And there is no particular order you must follow to visit the homes. Your ticket booklet will be marked as you make your way through the tour.

Will refunds be given in the case of inclement weather?

  • Each of our homeowners have put a great deal of time and effort getting their homes in tip-top shape to share with all of you. As this is the Fan District Association's major fundraiser for the year, the Tour goes on rain or shine with a no refund policy.

Can I bring my small child on the tour without a ticket?

  • We do allow chlldren to come on the tour if they're interested but they must also have a ticket. As we run this event as our major fundraiser, even our volunteers must purchase a ticket.

Can I give my uncompleted ticket to someone else to use?

  • No problem - and what a nice gesture! Any unused portions of your ticket may be "gifted" to someone else to complete the tour.
