Is GW inclusive or just diverse?
Join us for workshops, lectures, panels, and poster presentations on a variety of diversity-related topics, including gender bias, interfaith and civic dialogue in politically charged times, LGBTQ+ health, socio-economic and income inequality, and more.
Featured events include:
Panel Discussion: Universities Studying Slavery: Race, Research and Reconciliation with:
- Dr. Jennifer James- Director, The George Washington University's Africana Studies Program
- Dr. Phillip Troutman- Deputy Director, The George Washington University's Writing in the Disciplines Program
- Dr. Marcia Chatelain- Provost's Distinguished Associate Professor of History and African American Studies, Georgetown Working Group on Slavery, Memory & Reconciliation
Inaugural "Race in America" Speakers Series featuring:
- Dr. Ibram X. Kendi- Professor and Founding Director of the Anti Racist Research and Policy Center, American University, and award-winning historian and New York Times best-selling author
