Event description

Description

Join the Coro Fellows Pittsburgh Class of 2018 for a casual Mixer at Duke's Grocery while they are visiting D.C. for National Affairs Week. Coro Alumni from all centers are invited to attend! And the first round of appetizers and drinks are on us.

The 2017-2018 Coro Fellows in Public Affairs have the extraordinary opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. for a week in April in order to elevate their work in Pittsburgh to the national stage. They will build on a local project, My Brother's Keeper Pittsburgh, which seeks to improve the lives of men and boys of color. They will also focus learning and research purposes on a number of key national issues including: leadership development, media, refugee and immigrant inclusion, public health, environmental justice and education. Their intention is to strengthen understanding of those issues and further cultivate leadership skills, particularly around social issues they care deeply about so that they are more equipped to tackle them in the near future.

This event is free to attend and the Coro Pittsburgh Fellows look forward to connecting with you on April 25th!
