2018 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

LIAM KAPLAN, PIANIST & COMPOSER
Liam Kaplan is an award-winning pianist and composer who has performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Tenri Cultural Institute, Steinway Hall, Klavierhaus, Merkin Hall, and many other venues across the United States. Kaplan is currently a second-year student at Oberlin Conservatory where he studies piano and recently won Oberlin’s Rudolph Serkin Prize for the Outstanding Sophomore Pianist.

MOONSHINE HOLLER
Moonshine Holler, the husband and wife duet of Paula Bradley and Bill Dillof, captures the essence of American roots music: hillbilly blues, ballads, Carter family classics and jugband stompers, with knock- your-socks-off flatfoot dancing. Known for their musical prowess on more instruments than they can juggle (banjo, fiddle, guitar, Hawaiian guitar, harmonica, ukulele, kazoo), Moonshine Holler is steeped in old time traditional music and have performed and taught across the country and abroad.

FANFARE BRASS CHOIR RETURNS
The Fanfare Brass Choir provides quality classical and light popular
music to the New England area. Founded in 2008 and consistently performs to a high standard and includes the top musicians in Western New England. The choir performs music from the sixteenth century to the present, covers many styles of music.

24th ANNUAL BEL CANTO OPERA
Eve Queler, Music Director Emerita of Opera Orchestra of New York and part-time Blandford resident, brings spectacular up-and-coming opera talent to the hilltowns each year in an enjoyable à la carte performance. This year’s artists are sopranos April Martin and Jessica Sandidge, tenor Matthew White and (returning for the third time) baritone John Viscardi.

JON BERMAN WITH PETE ADAMS
With influences ranging from the coastal music of Jimmy Buffet & Kenny Chesney, touching upon the country of Dierks Bentley & Willie Nelson, and reaching to the songwriting of Aaron Lewis, Stephen Kellogg & Will Hoge, Jon’s music covers many genres that appeal to a wide listening audience.

RORIANNE SCHRADE: A SEVENARS SEASON ENCORE PERFORMANCE
In honor of the 50th anniversary of Sevenars and in homage to a similar program concept of her father Robert Schrade Ms. Schrade has selected a program of famous and lesser- known composers with “R” names – Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Rameau, Respighi, Ries, Rodrigo, and Roussel.
