Please join us as we host the third annual networking social by the Transportation and Development Institute (T&DI) of the ASCE Miami-Dade Chapter. It will be held at the W XYZ Lounge on the first floor of The Aloft Hotel in the heart of Doral. This event will include a presentation from Director of MDC Public Works Alice Bravo, pe and Town of Miami Lakes Mayor Manny Cid. This event will be a networking social and is open to anyone interested in the recent transportation developments happening in South Florida. Event is first come first serve so register early!

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:

Alice Bravo, PE

Ms. Bravo was appointed Director of the of the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), which merged the County’s Transit and Public Works functions under one department. DTPW operates the 15th largest public transit system in the United States, and the largest in Florida. Throughout her career, Ms. Bravo has managed numerous diversified public-private partnership projects including the $1 billion Port of Miami tunnel; the innovative I-95 Express Project; and the $550 million S.R. 826-S.R. 836 interchange reconstruction project. These projects have helped improve commuter mobility throughout Miami-Dade County. Ms. Bravo also oversaw a $573 million capital improvement program at the City of Miami and was responsible for implementing the city’s trolley circulator system.

Mayor Manny Cid

Mayor Manny Cid is a 24 year resident of Miami Lakes. Manny was elected to the Miami Lakes Town Council in 2012, two of those year’s he served as Vice-Mayor (Youngest Vice-Mayor in Town history). Manny’s volunteerism extends to the youth of our community. He served on the Town of Miami Lakes Youth Activities Task Force and Economic Development Committee. He also served as a youth Baseball coach at Miami Lakes Optimist Park as well as Rec. league Soccer coach with Miami Lakes United Soccer at Royal Oaks Park. He is also a Member of the Educational Excellence School Advisory Council for Bob Graham Educational Center since 2014. He is also Chairman of the Mother of Our Redeemer Catholic School Board.
