Register now for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group’s 2018 Spring Advocacy trip to Washington, D.C.

This year's agenda will focus on specific solutions to encourage U.S. economic growth. In the midst of an election year, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group is prepared to advance the understanding between Silicon Valley innovators and Washington D.C. leaders.

Federal Policy Agenda:

  • Immigration Reform - DACA & H1B Visa
  • Record of Decision from FTA on BART to Silicon Valley Phase II
  • Federal Infrastructure Package
  • Cybersecurity/Data Privacy
  • Autonomous Vehicle Technology
  • Scientific Research Funding/R&D
  • Canadian De Minimus Threshold
  • Protecting Higher Education Funding

This trip presents an opportunity for the delegation to meet with Senate and Congressional leaders and key Administration officials. In addition to high-level visits, the trip will feature many networking opportunities with various Silicon Valley industry leaders. Among them are this year's advocacy trip co-chairs: Insikt CEO James Gutierrez, Santa Clara County Board President Joe Simitian, City of San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, & Western Digital CEO Steve Milligan.

Accomodations:
Hotel reservations are made at The Jefferson Hotel in the heart of Washington, D.C., ranked the third best Hotel in the United States by U.S. News & World Report and featured by Forbes, Michelin, & the Historic Hotels of America.

Tuesday, February 27th

-Travel from Silicon Valley/Bay Area to Washington, D.C.-

Evening reception and dinner

- 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. - Drinks and Networking

- 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. - Dinner


Wednesday, February 28th

All-day visits including (anticipated):

- New Democrat Coalition

- Congressional Future Caucus

- Senator Feinstein and/or Senator Harris

- Republican Leader McCarthy

- California Congressional Delegation


Trip ends at 4:30 p.m.

Please note the hotel cost for one night is included in your registration fee, except for DC base members, but does not include incurred incidentals. We do have the ability to add additional nights at our negotiated rate.

If you do not need hotel accommodations, please let us know so we can adjust your registration fee.

Please note the trip cost does not include airfare and trip participants are responsible for their own airline reservations.
