2017 Youth Symposium hosted by Sigma Gamma Rho, Sorority Inc.
Theta Pi Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., is pleased to invite you to its 2017 Youth Symposium, which will be held in partnership with the Fontana Unified School District at Kaiser High School in Fontana, CA on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Held in conjunction with Sigma Week, the Youth Symposium is designed to highlight some of the prevalent concerns that impact youth. This year, Theta Pi Sigma Alumni Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. will address issues pertaining to 1) STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) careers, 2) fitness and healthy living, 3) financial and wealth management, and 4) literacy. The 2017 Youth Symposium theme is “Youth Investment: Building a Future for Impactful Leaders”.
Additional Youth Symposium partners include Children's Resources, Inc., USA Track and Field and Girl Scouts of America.
Attendees will enjoy a continental breakfast, lunch and interactive STEM and fitness activities. 1) What is the minimum age required to attend the Youth Symposium?
Students aged 11 through 17 are invited to attend.
2) Are parents allowed to accompany their children to the Symposium?
Parents are welcome, and there will be workshop sessions specifically geared toward parents.
3) Is there a cost to attend the Symposium?
There is no cost. The Symposium is free to all attendees who have pre-registered and confirmed attendance.
4) Does my child have to attend school in the Fontana District to attend the Symposium?
No. Children from outside the District may attend.
5) Is transportation to the Symposium available to students?

6) What is the dress code?
Students are asked to wear comfortable clothing, such as jeans, tennis shoes, t-shirts, etc., as there will be opportunities for interactive STEM and fitness activities.
