CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Oneida Nation Community Tour:  This year's conference host, the Oneida Nation, is extending a special invitation to WTTC attendees to take a tour of the Oneida community before the Opening Ceremony. The tour will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 am on Tuesday, November 7th.  Participants should arrive at the Radisson hotel lobby by 9:30 am.  If this is your first time visiting the beautiful Oneida community, this is a great opportunity to learn more about one of Wisconsin's federally recognized tribal community's history, culture and heritage.  Seating is limited, and pre-registration is required.

Workshops:  The conference will feature four conference tracks:  safety, cultural/environmental resources, business and economic development, and general transportation topics. The conference will also include important state, federal and Tribal updates, upcoming construction project updates, and networking opportunities.

Business Networking & Vendor Expo:  Prior to the conference opening ceremonies, a special networking lunch session will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on November 7th, sponsored by the Inter-Tribal Task Force and the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin. This session is designed for anyone interested in business and labor opportunities in the construction industry.  Informal networking opportunities with Tribal roads representatives, prime contractors, resource organizations, WisDOT and various other state, Tribal and federal government contract opportunities programs.  Seating is limited so registration is required.

Legislative Reception:  The Oneida Nation, in conjunction with the Inter-Tribal Task Force, will host a legislative reception on November 7th at 5:30 pm. The reception serves as an opportunity for WisDOT administrators, state legislators, Tribal leadership and conference attendees to meet and greet prior to the the Tribal Excellence Awards Dinner Banquet.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Tribal Excellence Awards Dinner:  A dinner will be held on Tuesday, November 7th at 6:30 pm to present Tribal Excellence Awards to those that have made a significant impact on Tribal affairs initiatives and services in Tribal transportation. The event will include dinner and entertainment.  Additional tickets for non-registered guests can be purchased with registration.

If you would like to submit a nomination, please complete the nomination form and submit by October 6, 2017.
