2017 Vermont CU Golf Challenge
Tue, June 13, 2017, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM EDT
Country Club of Vermont is a world class design in a mountain setting that has been home to the Vermont Credit Union Golf Challenge for the past few years. The course provides a challenging but virtually private tour through the spectacular Vermont countryside. Sitting on over 200 acres, with no residential construction, travel between holes is minimal, yet each feels secluded, with little or no view of surrounding holes.
The visually imposing front nine is a "links" environment featuring the natural terrain's rolling hills, berms and splendid scenery. Players then go "into the woods", enjoying a back nine of tree-lined fairways, sparkling brooks and some challenging but equally beautiful mountain landscapes.

Because this is a charity fundraising tournament, Eventbrite displays all sponsorships and individual registrations as "free". To maximize the benefit to our charity, online payment is not available. AVCU will invoice your company or credit union directly at the email or mailing address provided during online registration.
Sponsor packages and the individual $165 entry fee include greens fees, shared cart, 3 mulligans (per player), continental breakfast, post-tournament BBQ, gifts, snacks, trophies and gift cards for the winning teams, and one entry (per player) into the two closest to the pin contests and the putting contest.
PLEASE NOTE: Once submitted online, sponsorships cannot be canceled. However substitutions for previously registered golfers will be accepted until 5:00 PM on Friday, June 9th (by email only please).
Because we must guarantee the final number of participants in advance, the final registration deadline is Friday, June 2nd at 5:00 PM.
Vermont CU Golf Challenge Highlights
Format: 4 player scramble. The traditional format where all players tee off, the best shot is selected, and the process is repeated until a ball is holed. Every team must use at least three tee shots from each player.
Hospitality: Gifts and continental breakfast for all golfers at tournament check-in, plus complimentary light snacks and bottled water out on the course from AVCU’s refreshment cart.
Contests: 2 closest to the pin and one putting, each with a $100 VISA gift card for the winner (please note that the same golfer is not eligible to win both closest to the pin contests).
50/50 Silent Auction (NEW for 2017): The total amount raised will be split between the tournament benefactor Vermont Foodbank and Vermont Credit Union Political Action. Donations are welcome and encouraged from all sponsoring organizations. Please tell us what you're donating and its approximate value when registering, then bring it with you to the course on tournament day.
Lunch & Auction: Immediately following the tournament, bidding on the 50/50 Silent Auction items and the barbecue will begin featuring grilled house-made burgers, pulled pork, grilled chicken, natural casing hotdogs, rolls, cheeses, condiments, salads, cookies, brownies, and sliced watermelon. A cash bar will also be available.
