WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
NO REFUNDS: The Titletown Bike Tour does not offer refunds on registration for any reason, regardless of personal circumstances. The financial outcome of the event, particularly as it is a fundraiser for our foundation, depends on our ability to anticipate the final number of riders prior to race weekend. Opening the door to refunds would jeopardize our ability to do so.
NO DEFERRALS: The Titletown Bike Tour does not allow riders to “defer” or carry over their entries for future years. Your registration is for THIS year’s ride, not a future year’s ride. We have no tracking mechanism for carrying over entries from one year to another.
WILL THE EVENT BE CANCELED FOR BAD WEATHER? Depends...
The ride will not be canceled for any reason other than severe weather conditions posing extreme danger to athletes, volunteers, and spectators. Breast Cancer Family Foundation reserves the right to alter the course in any way deemed in the best interest of volunteers and athletes. This includes, but is not limited to the distance or shape of course, postponing the start, cancellation, etc. There will be NO REFUNDS in the case of changes or course cancellations due to weather. If canceled, the Titletown Bike Tour will not be rescheduled.
WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO START?
You can start any time between 5:30 am and 9:30 am. To reduce congestion on the roads and afford flexibility to the participants, there is no "mass start" to this event. We do encourage you to plan according to your anticipated pace and your target finish time. All riders should finish by 3:00 pm since the post-ride dinner ends at 4:00 pm. *100 Mile riders are required to ride the 100 Mile loop first and then proceed to ride the 100K route. 100 Mile rest stop will only be open 6:00am - 8:30am, please plan your start time accordingly!
Safety of all riders is the highest concern for the organizers of the Titletown Bike Tour. To this end, participants are asked to obey the following rules:
FOLLOW THE RULES OF THE ROAD:
The course routes for the Titletown Bike Tour are on public roads which remain open to motorists during the event. All riders are expected to follow the rules of the road. This includes recognizing that motorists have the right of way. Riders should stay on the right shoulder of the road and as much as possible ride single file, especially when motorists are present. Crossing the centerline of the road is strictly prohibited.
All participants must wear a ANSI approved bike helmet at all times while on the course route. Violation of this rule will result in future ineligibility to participate.
WATCH YOUR SPEED:
Riders are free to ride at whatever pace they desire but are urged to exercise caution during any downhill descents. Ride within your abilities and SLOW DOWN on the descents.
