Event description

Description

You're invited! Join us for a gorgeous evening to celebrate and raise funds for our beloved Teen Talking Circles.

We invite you to come join us for another evening of warm friendship, delicious food and drink, important conversations, a fantastic silent auction, and moving presentations. See you October 1st!

Space is limited to 60 guests so register ASAP or by September 21st in advance by clicking here.

This year our program includes very special guests: Leijia Farr (Seattle's First Youth Poet Laureate); Talina Wood; and Kimberley Lafferty -- plus an opportunity to meet the members of the Seattle Teen Girls Group and learn from them how important TTC is in their lives.

Leijia Farr is a 19-year-old poet and the first youth poet laureate in Seattle's history. Through the Laureate program she published her manuscript entitled Outweigh The Gravity. Leijia has opened for Angela Davis and Saul Williams, appeared on Sherman Alexie's podcast and got a shout out from Essence magazine.

Talina Wood is one of the original participants of TTC and one of the featured teens in TTC's first book Daughters of the Moon, Sisters of the Sun: Young Women and Mentors on the Transition to Womanhood. She serves as President of TTC's Board of Directors.

Kimberley Lafferty joined TTC as Director in May 2017 to work side-by-side with Founder and ED, Linda Wolf. She brings twenty-five years of experience to the field of non-profit leadership, education, group process, and human development. We are beyond excited and inspired by Kimberley’s contributions of real world knowledge of systems and best practices, as well as her contagious enthusiasm and positive energy.

As usual, our silent auction is always full of conscious and unique items to bid on in support of TTC and we'll have delicious appetizers and yummy desert delights to share, including wine and Iggy's Herbal Honey Brew.

Space is limited. RSVP by 9/21.

If you can not join us, please consider making a small donation to help us continue our work.
