Event description

Description

Worried about the status of honeybees? Have you thought what you could do to help? Do you like local honey? Have you thought about keeping honeybees? Are you intrigued, but not sure it is for you?

The Tampa Bay Beekeeping Association is presenting a beekeeping seminar for anybody wanting to learn basics of beekeeping before starting your own hives or for people who recently started beekeeping to enrich their knowledge about honey bees.

We have a team of experienced beekeepers teach you a variety of topics such as building your hives, starting a hive, bees, nectar sources, pest management, honey harvesting and more. The seminar is presented in a show and tell format with the opportunity for you to ask questions and network with experienced beekeepers.

We will serve coffee & doughnuts in the morning and an awesome barbeque lunch. At the end of the seminar there will be door and raffle prices.

Join us on Saturday April 8th 2017, registration starts at 8:00 a.m.

For the cost of a meal, you not only get a meal but you learn about your (potential) new hobby!
