The Symposium on Health Disparities, Social Science and Humanities of Health is for 1) social science and humanities researchers and their students in order to present health related research, 2) social science and humanities researchers to learn about state, federal, and foundation health research funding, and 3) for biomedical scientists and clinical investigators to learn from, network, and collaborate with social science and humanities health researchers, and health representatives from communities that experience health disparities.
Symposium presentations topics will include Native Health, Aging, Community Health, and other Health Disparities. A Pre-Conference Grant Writing Workshop will be offered for up to 50 participants (11A-1P) and a poster session and networking reception will follow the research presentations.
The 2017 Symposium on Health Disparities, Social Science and Humanities of Health is sponsored by the OU Center for Research Program Development & Enrichment, the University of Oklahoma Office of the Vice President for Research, the Oklahoma Shared Clinical & Translational Resources Center, and the University of Oklahoma Stephenson Cancer Center.
