Potential Volunteer Assignments:
Runner - Does various errands during the meet, including: asking a judge for a score, moving equipment and chairs, asking people to move if they are blocking a door or pathway for competition, and reminding people flash camera photography is not allowed.
Work Crew - Moves the equipment into storage after the meet is finished.
Escort - Guides teams through registration, to and from competition areas, and to and from awards area. Escorts make sure all teams get to the correct event, assist with water, and bathroom breaks. Escorts also ensure that each team returns to its coach after the awards presentation.
Score Flasher - Runs the scores from the judges to the scorekeepers.
Scorekeeper - Records the flat score for the men's and women's competition.
Awards Volunteer - Lines up athletes in the correct awards order. Also prepares awards for distribution.
Attire: Please dress for comfort and mobility. Wear comfortable shoes - you will be on your feet most of the time. No short-shorts or flip flops allowed.
Parking: General parking is limited available at the venue.
AGE ELIGIBILITY FOR VOLUNTEERS:
* Youth 15 years and older can volunteer by themselves.
* 8-14 year old youth must be accompanied by parent, guardian, or chaperone.
* 7 years and younger are not given volunteer assignments, but are welcomed and encouraged to be cheerleaders as long as they are accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone. Please do not 'purchase' a ticket for this position.
* 8-14 year olds in a group situation need a 4 to 1 ratio-meaning one adult (18 years old or older) for every four children.
For security purposes, please make sure to bring a current photo ID with you to the volunteer check-in area.
