Shifts with @ MAC will be held at the Maverick Activities Center located on the UTA campus.
Shifts with @ Lamar High School will be held at Lamar High School located at 1400 W. Lamar Blvd., Arlington 76011.
Potential Volunteer Assignments:
Scorekeeper - Maintains scorebook. Receives each team's line up, with starter identified. Records information into the scorebook. During games, records score and fouls in proper places in the scorebook. Substitutes wishing to enter the game must check in with scorekeeper prior to officials allowing them to enter court. Notifies game officials when a team reaches their seventh and tenth team foul in a half because of bonus free throws.
Timer- Manages clock and scoreboard during game, assisting scorekeeper in maintaining accuracy of scoreboard and scorebook. Stops and starts the clock on struction of the officials. Indicates bonus free throws on scoreboard, informs officials of bonus situations. Times team time-outs between quarters and half-time.
Escort - Guides divisions of athletes from registration/staging area through all four skills stations and to the awards areas. keeps athletes organized, out of competition areas. ensures that athletes hold their scorecards or holds cards for them. Collects individual scorecards from athletes at completition of skills competition and returns scorecards to registrar's table.
Skills Station Leader - Conducts skills competition at assigned station.
Runner - Collects stray balls on court. Assists wherever assigned by Individual Skills contest manager.
Attire:General parking is limited available at the venues. Please dress for comfort and mobility. Wear comfortable shoes - you will be your feet most of the time. No short shorts or flip flops allowed.

AGE ELIGIBILITY FOR VOLUNTEERS:
* 15 years and older can volunteer by themselves.
* 8-14 year olds must be accompanied by parent, guardian, or chaperone.
* 7 years and younger are not given volunteer assignments, but are welcomed and encouraged to be cheerleaders as long as they are accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone. Please do not 'purchase' a ticket for this position.
* 8-14 year olds in a group situation need a 4 to 1 ratio-meaning one adult (18 years old or older) for every four children. These groups usually include scout troops, school classes, church groups, etc.
For security purposes, please make sure to bring a current photo ID with you to the volunteer check-in area.
