Event Details

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the State Summer Games presented by Spectrum in Grand Junction at the Olympic Village! It will be a blast!

Below are a few volunteer opportunities from which you can choose. Volunteers are needed to fill roles such as registration, souvenier sales, support services and more. 

SHIFT TIMES:

Volunteer Registration:Saturday- 6:45am-3pm or Sunday- 7:15am-2pm

Olympic Town: Saturday- 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm

Victory Celebration: Saturday 4pm-9:30pm

Support Services: Friday- 9am-5pm, Saturday- 7:30am-2pm, Sunday- 10am-5pm

Souvenier Sales: Saturday- 8:30am-3pm or 11am-7pm, Sunday- 8:30am-Noon

 

MEALS: Unfortunately, lunch will NOT be provided, however we will have hospitality stations set up throughout the day with snacks and water. We do encourage volunteers to bring your own snacks and water bottles as well.

PARKING: Free general parking is available at Colorado Mesa University. Maps will be sent out prior to the event.

AGE ELIGIBILITY FOR VOLUNTEERS:

16 years and older can volunteer by themselves.

* 8-15 year olds must be accompanied by parent, guardian, or chaperone.

* 7 years and younger are not given volunteer assignments, but are welcomed and encouraged to be cheerleaders as long as they are accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone.  Please do not 'purchase' a ticket for this position.

* 8-15 year olds in a group situation need a 3 to 1 ratio-meaning one adult (18 years old or older) for every three children.  These groups usually include scout troops, school classes, church groups, etc.

VOLUNTEER SERVICE HOURS: For those needing confirmation of service hours, at the completion of your volunteer shift you may report back to volunteer registration for signatures or confirmation forms.
