Event Details

The Des Moines Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants is pleased to present its Annual Spring Seminar and Awards Ceremony, to be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Noah’s Event Venue in West Des Moines, Iowa.  This conference features a full day of sessions covering a variety of topics including: leadership, fraud and embezzlement investigations, security and asset protection, and interpersonal communications.  Get practical insights from seasoned experts to help you solve organizational dilemmas and bolster your integrity.  Discussion will focus on real-world events and the stewardship role of governmental accountants.

Registration includes continental breakfast and lunch on the day of the seminar. The registration fee for the Wednesday pre-conference webinar is waived for Thursday’s conference attendees. Dress for both days is casual.

When and Where

Wednesday, May 17th Pre-Conference Webinar:  DATA Act (more information coming soon). The webinar will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, in Room B-50, Grimes State Office Building, 400 E 14th St, Des Moines IA 50319.

CPE Credit:  Webinar participants can earn up to 2.0 CPE credits.  Seminar participants can earn up to 7.00 CPE credits.

Cost: Early Bird Rate is $90 per member and $120 per non-member.  After April 14th the cost of registration increases to $100 per member and $130 per non-member.  Final registration deadline is May 11th.  Refunds will not be granted, however substitutions are permitted.
