Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade Party
Hosted by Friends of the Capitol Park Museum  
February 25th, 2017; 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

TICKET PRICE FOR ADMISSION

$35 for non-members, $25 for members, and $5 for kids 12 and under.
[Everyone must bring a printed or digital proof of ticket purchase in order to get into the event including kids and members.]

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

The event is a family event, and all ages are encouraged to come out and participate. Identification will be required for purchase of alcoholic beverages.


Is there parking for the event?

There is plenty of street parking around the museum and State Capitol. We recommend parking 3-4 hours before the parade start time. Important note: The parade begins and lines up at the museum corner where we host the event.


What can/can't I bring to the event?

No ice chests or outside food or drinks are permitted at the event or inside the museum.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, every person must present a ticket for admission. For online orders, please bring a print-out of your ticket or have the Eventbrite app to scan in your tickets at the door.  

 
What is the refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferable by contacting the event coordinator at FOTCPM@gmail.com

Friends of the Capitol Park Museum

 

The Capitol Park Museum in Baton Rouge features thematic exhibits on the diverse aspects of Louisiana history, industry and culture. The museum includes two permanent exhibitions, entitled Grounds for Greatness: Louisiana and the Nation, and Experiencing Louisiana: Discovering the Soul of America.

 

Topics range from the Louisiana Purchase to Sportsmen's Paradise to Mardi Gras traditions throughout the state. Artifacts include a 48 foot wooden shrimp trawler, a Civil War submarine, a record breaking Marlin, a Krewe of lawnmowers, a New Orleans Lucky Dog cart and musical artifacts from Fats Domino, Buddy Guy, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Aaron Neville and much more
