2017 Southeast Regional Conference - Phi Kappa Tau
The Southeast Regional Conference is a three-day leadership development and officer training program. Regional Conferences are focused on preparing incoming officers to be strong and effective leaders throughout the year. The program educates participants on leadership development, an overview of Fraternity operations and the day-to-day tasks of the particular offices.
The three-day conference includes a Brotherhood event on Friday evening, curriculum tracks for officers on Saturday, and will conclude with a Model Initiation on Sunday morning.
Friday, February 17
9 p.m. – Check-in
11 p.m.–12:30 a.m. – Bonfire and Poker Tournament to benefit the Seriousfun Children’s Network ($10 buy-in) Snacks and Drinks will be provided.
Saturday, February 18
8:45 – 9:30 a.m. – Continental Breakfast
9:30–10 a.m. – Opening Session/Welcome
10 a.m.–Noon – Officer Training
Noon–1 p.m. – Lunch and State of the Fraternity
1–3 p.m. – Officer Training and Breakout Sessions
3–4 p.m. – Case Studies
4–4:45 p.m. – Next Steps/Goal Setting
4:45–5:30 p.m. – Q&A
5:30 p.m. – Dinner
7 p.m. – Midnight - Bonfire, T-shirt Auction (bring t-shirts and money to bid – proceeds benefit Seriousfun), Conference Awards, Brotherhood Activities
Sunday, February 19
9–9:50 a.m. – Continental Breakfast and Check-out
10–11:30 a.m. – Model Initiation and Gavel Pass
Officers encouraged to attend are: president, vice president, vice president of alumni relations, treasurer, membership orientation officer, risk management chairman, recruitment chairman, scholarship chairman, and a general officer track.
